DC's Daresay and Wonder's Thanos finally fought each other to identify who is the best among comics' most nihilistic planetary despots. Well, type of... In the terrific custom of the former competing 'Huge Two' comics publishers paying tribute to (and also often teasing) one another's personalities, writer Joshua Williamson developed Tartarus, an analog of Wonder's Thanos for November 30s Justice League Incarnate 1, the majority of which happens on DC's Earth-8, itself an analog of the Marvel World including an Avengers-like team called the Retaliatory. In scenes attracted by musicians Brandon Peterson, Andrei Brendan, as well as Tom Derelict, the event allows Thanos/Tartarus to challenge against Daresay, the antagonist of what Williamson is calling the 'Infinite Frontier saga.'
