Last week it was revealed that the new series of Resident Evil of Netflix has been canceled after just one season. Although many already saw this decision coming, especially considering the poor reception and the tendency of the company on this issue, there were still several that surprised, such as Lance Reddick, an actor who played Albert Wesker.
Through his official account on his Twitter, Reddick shared a message where he thanks all those involved in the series for their participation , and regrets the decision that Netflix made about it. This was what he commented:
I wanted to make this video because I wanted to make some awards and thanks. As everyone will know, our Resident Evil series in Netflix was canceled. Despite the haters and trolls, I want to send a special thanks to all the fans who saw her and understood what we were doing. We really love them because there were many.
Although the first impressions painted a good panorama for the series, once all chapters were released, The community was not happy with the final result . In this way, Netflix, who continues to go through a fairly complicated situation, decided to end this production, instead of trusting the minds behind the project.
In related issues, actor of the series did not know that Resident Evil was a video game. Similarly, you can play with Lady Dimitrescu in Resident Evil Village.
Editor's note:
It is a pity that this project was canceled. While it is true that production had errors, it also presented us with a series of interesting ideas and good performances. Hopefully this case is not repeated in the future.
