Former art director of Square Enix Eidos-Montréal, now sold by Embracer Group, along with the franchises, told True Achievements that his team worked on the long-suffering Final Fantasy XV, and it was this version of the game that was really cool.
Final Fantasy XV has been under development for ten years, survived the change of engine and almost complete alteration, until, finally, it was released in 2016. However, hitherto it was not known that Europeans from Eidos-Montréal worked on the game of the legendary series, and the Japanese later decided to take the project from them and return the development to Japan. Apparently, the European version was significantly different from the Japanese.
Unfortunately, the interlocutor did not specify why he considered that their version was “really cool” and the transfer of development to the Japanese was a “big mistake”. However, in the end, the game was praised for the plot and scolded for an empty world and a weak fight.
