It s a frightening season and we all know what it means. For some, it s their favorite period of the year, for others, it means the beginning of a long holiday period with a multitude of new exciting games around the street. For us, it s all this and more. Halloween is only a question of days, so we thought about the best way to celebrate the opportunity by presenting some of the best scary games coming out this year. You will definitely want to put it for Halloween s full teeth if you have not already played them!
In 2017, Tarsier Studios delivered a dark and unconventional story in Little Nightmares where players had to escape a frightening doll home and escape the right-of-way of the monster trying to eat them. Now, Tarsier is back, with the help of Supermassive Games, with another game of horror adventure and puzzle-platform in Little Nightmare II. This time, you will embody mono, in a brand new environment with six, the protagonist of the first title, helping to this escape. Little Nightmare II is a fantastic mix of charm and horror and it takes all that is good from the first game and the amplifier. Between a well-punctive gameplay and breathtaking graphics, there is not much to complain about. Our opinion says, Little Nightmare II is a masterclass in design. Of its vulgar characterization to its haunting sound band, each element was created with a fetishist passion for absurd.
Although it is not exactly a horror game, Returnal offers a world of a haunting beauty filled with creatures that hide in the shadows. And history is outright captivating and perhaps a little destabilizing. You play Selene, which is trapped in a loop where she must escape from a sorry world in which she is stuck alone. If it is unable to survive and beat all the extraterrestrial monsters, it will die forced to restart and try again. Get ready to die often, it s not exactly a walk in the park. Just going out earlier this month, Back 4 Blood is Turtle Rock Studios last born, Left 4 Dead developers and Evolve series. If you like the action of killing zombies, this blood bath is exactly what you were hoping. It looks a lot like Left 4 Dead, but it offers better graphics, a more accurate weapon handling and more fun! Make sure to ask some of your friends to jump into action with you and you will be sucked for hours by blood, gore and general chaos that is about to follow.
Resident Evil is one of the biggest names of the horror and cause. Resident Evil Village is the 8th of the main franchise and comes with its own list of lists of insane jumps, scary music and haunting gameplay. Not to mention the design of extremely grotesque characters and enemies that you will face. All are graphically impeccable, which makes this fuel of nightmare even more realistic. If you played Resident Evil 7 Biohazard, you will have the impression of never really gone because it happens a few years later. The tragedy strikes again and you have to fight to thwart and distance the new nightmares discovered along the way.
